File attributes
The File attributes tab allows you to create and edit file attributes.
File attributes allow users to provide metadata for documents. Users can manually enter the file attribute values or upload them via a CSV file. For further information on file attributes, please see the User Manual: Document info.
What is the purpose of file attributes?
If the dossier template has been configured accordingly, specific file attribute values can trigger the application of particular extraction and/or transformation rules. Therefore, we recommend specifying the file attribute value in the preparation phase (i.e., before users start reviewing).
You can use file attributes as filters. That allows users to filter for documents with a specific file attribute value or property.
How to get there:
User menu > Settings > Dossier templates > Dossier template > File attributes

File attributes
What can you do there?
Click New attribute.
The "Add new file attribute" dialog opens. Mandatory fields are marked with a blue asterisk.
